Contemplations

Everyone will have their own sense of what ‘contemplation’ means. Recently we looked at the word itself and saw ‘temp’ and ‘templat(e)’ and thereby, the suggestion of time altering, stretching perhaps or slowing, as we let our attention rest quietly with a subject. Also there could be the sense of the laying down of a sort of inner map, or signposting, if the contemplation is helpful and often visited.
In any event, the following short pieces are invitations to settle and to slow, and to be with what can be seen as tokens of appreciation. We hope they invite more of the feeling of space and the not-knowing that opens doors in us to further appreciation.

Chronicles of Belonging

A contemplation in 3 parts, written and read by Rosamond Rolleston, with photos by Jackie Henshall. "that my arrival here in human form, on this earth, in the presence of a causing power, is not an accident. That I am welcomed, cared for, known, that I belong."

Autumn Walk

A short video (1:21) by Jackie Henshall weaving a piece of her glass art, with an autumn landscape, and with spoken words to evoke a state of internal reflection. “warming the conversation between what I have been, and what I might become”

Alive In The Moment

A short video (1:22) by Jackie Henshall combining a piece of her glass art, with a tucked away place by the Teifi river, and with words to catch a moment of awareness . “to see, to listen, to be aware of all that you can be aware of, the visible, the invisible and all that flows between”
